I have always loved to be creative. Interpreting what I envision within my head and trying to carry this out in some artistic form in reality. I must admit I am a type of perfectionist. I am never completly satisfied with my result. Although often quite satisfactory, I tend to tweak it as much as [...]
Two and a Half Men
by HK on 29. Dec, 2009 in Entertainment, Film and TV
Over the past months I have been enjoying a few sitcoms as time allows, one of them being the hit comedy series “Two and a Half Men” featured on CBS and starring Charlie Sheen whose real name is Carlos Irwin Estévez (just some fun information). The series in my opinion is brilliantly written and the [...]

So it has been several weeks since my last update and I utterly apologize. I am working on getting everything back up to date including a new photo album and such. While I work on my new posts enjoy the following video which I found quite amusing.

04/07/2010 11:15 pmAt this point its tough, Spain and Germany are both in my top 3 teams. Spain has been an okay goer – and Germany has been crushing everyone, literally. Germany is going hard and i think it might end up being Holland and Germany. Go Germany (or Spain).

04/07/2010 10:45 pmThe 4th ref was added after that game. The idea of being able to challenge a certain action once or twice per game is very interesting. Soccer still has a long way to go, let’s see what will happen. btw, who you think will win?

04/07/2010 10:21 pmAre you kidding me? SInce when is there a ref behind the goal? the 4th Ref is on the sideline and assists in timing and switching in players. I agree that soccer should stay the way it is, as traditional as possible yet maybe there should be a similiar step as in American Football where a coach could challenge a call once per game!? Spain vs. Germany is up next.

FIFA, Add video?

04/07/2010 1:01 amWell, I am not quite sure how it will work with technology playing a role in soccer. Even though technology might help prevent certain situations like that, it won’t really have a chance to come into use because soccer doesn’t have a lot of breaks, and if they were too constantly take breaks and take a quick look for a certain action, then the game would lose its flow. Because of this incident, they already added another referee behind the goal, which might have a little impact, but mistakes are mistakes, and yes they can change the entire flow of an entire world cup, but this is soccer and this is how it works. The only way it could work with this technology is if they had another ref at the top in the tower to watch the replays to communicate through a microphone with the main ref about certain situations, but let’s see how it rolls. Good post
